Terms of Service
The rules for buying from outdoorsupply.com. Written to be read rather than skipped.
Who you are dealing with
outdoorsupply.com is operated by OutdoorSupply, of 701 E Parks Hwy, Wasilla, AK 99654, United States. "We", "us" and "our" mean that business. "You" means whoever is placing the order.
We are a trading name rather than a registered company. That is stated plainly here because a policy that implies a limited company where there is none is the kind of small dishonesty that undermines everything else on this page.
Ordering
- You must be 18 or over to order.
- An order is an offer to buy. The contract exists when we email you to say it has been dispatched, not when the checkout confirms.
- We may decline an order — most often because stock has gone, a price was wrong, or we cannot confirm the payment method is yours. If we decline, you are refunded in full and immediately.
- Product photography is the manufacturer's or the supplier's. Finishes look different on different screens, and a stainless finish in particular photographs cooler than it looks in a kitchen.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in US dollars (USD) and exclude sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where we are required to collect it.
- We can change prices at any time, but never on an order already placed.
- If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price — a refrigerator at $9, for instance — we will contact you rather than quietly ship or quietly cancel. You choose whether to pay the right price or be refunded.
- Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments and the other methods shown there. We never see or store your card details.
What we say about the products
Specifications, capacities, dimensions and wattages come from the manufacturer. We publish them as the manufacturer states them, in inches and pounds, and where the manufacturer published a metric figure of its own we keep that alongside it. We correct obvious errors, but we do not test every appliance ourselves and we do not claim to.
We do not sell branded appliances as our own. Where a listing says a machine is compatible with somebody else's system — a refrigerator that takes a particular replacement water filter, a washer sized to stack with a matching dryer — that is a statement of compatibility and nothing more. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any appliance manufacturer, and we do not present their products as ours.
Every trademark mentioned on this site belongs to its owner.
Delivery, returns and cancellation
Delivery times, costs and destinations are in the delivery policy. Returns, refunds, cancellation rights and the model cancellation form are in the returns policy. Both are part of these terms.
Using the site
You agree not to:
- copy the site's text, layout or code for another shop;
- scrape it, or hit it hard enough to affect anybody else's use of it;
- submit false information, or use a payment method that is not yours to use;
- use it for anything unlawful.
The words, layout and photography arrangement on this site are ours. The product photography belongs to the manufacturers and suppliers it came from.
Where our liability ends
We are responsible for losses you suffer as a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for damage caused by installing or using an appliance in a way its own instructions warn against.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not let us limit — including your rights under federal and state consumer protection law. If any clause on this page conflicts with those rights, those rights win.
Events outside our control
If something genuinely outside our control delays an order — a carrier strike, severe weather, a supplier failure — we will tell you and give you the choice of waiting or being refunded. We will not simply go quiet.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top tells you which that is.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in the State of Alaska.
